They do not attach to a bed frame as the height can be adjusted for your convenience. The number of panels required depends on the size of the bed. The order will include the corresponding number of panels according the bed size you select. Compatible with adjustable beds.

Each panel measures 21.5 x 36 inches, weighs approximately 11 lbs and comes with D-ring metal hangers. The full/double-bed size headboard includes one smaller panel 12.5 x 36". Nails and hooks with installation instructions are included as well. Each hook can hold up to 20 lbs. We install two hooks to each panel. This is a 40 lbs capacity for a 11 lbs panel. It can hold up more than twice its weight. The hooks and nails are specially design for drywall or similar materials. There is no need to find studs in the wall in order to hang it.

The panels are solid wood that we hand distress to give them a rustic, antique or weathered look. Because the panels are made from distressed wood, there will be some natural variations like knots or splits. Some boards might be even slightly warped. These aren't defects, but natural imperfections which add to the charm of your one-of-kind headboard.

The only tools you will need for assembly which are not included are a hammer, pencil, and tape measure. Typical time to install is 25 min.
